Yes, I am a "Twilight" fanatic. It was not intended, because up until the beginning of December, I had absolutely no desire to even read the books--ever. A friend kept telling me that I should. No. Then my daughter borrowed the book from her friend......Well, I read books every single night, and on the fateful day, I had no new books in the house. So I picked it up, and the rest was history. I finished the entire saga within three weeks--"Eclipse" was read in one sitting. Then I saw the movie...and then saw it again...and plan on going to the theater again before the DVD release--which I have a big party planned for!
This entire project has taken me over a month to complete. By far, it was the most fun and most stressful!
*Swan House - Book Version*
This version of the Swan house is almost exact to what I first pictured when I started reading Twilight. The kitchen is supposed to come off of the livingroom, but I added a diningroom. Bella's room is on the west side and overlooks the front yard. The bathroom at the top of stairs, and Charlie's room is next to that.
*Swan House - Movie Version*
This house was a real hassle to make. I'm not great at manipulating roofs either. The thing is, in the movie, they show Bella going into the door to the left of the bathroom, making you think that is where her bedroom is--overlooking the front yard. However, her room was actually in the back of the house.
*Forks High School*
A very scaled down version. Forks High School was also converted into two loft apartments with stripped down brick walls. ;)
*Thunderbird & Whale*
I love this little building! It's a community lot bookstore with a small sitting area and bathroom. In the movie, only the outside of the house was used, and the filming for the bookstore was a built set. So, I improvised.
*The Bloated Toad*
Community lot working restaurant. Inside improvised.
*Cullen House - Book Version*
This one was the hardest for me to do. I had, and still have the exact vision in my head of what I imagined it to look like, but I COULD NOT get that idea into building. So what I did was search for mansions in Oregon, got an idea, then took that idea and added my own. It is VERY scaled down as well. I imagine the rooms to be about 10x bigger than what I made them. I also omitted the garage.
*Cullen House - Movie Version*
Ok, I lied. THIS house was the hardest for me to do, because I became obsessed with it and all the little details. The version you are downloading/viewing is the SIXTH version. Yes, I built it six times. First the lot was too small, then the rooms were too big...etc. Actually, it is a very simple house--yet the stairs were driving me up a wall. Plus I had to keep quitting the game to make recolors for things that I needed. It's combined-furnished from the movie and from the architects brochure. The real house is called "The Hoke House" and can be found at Skylab Architecture.
When I saw the movie, I was first mad because this is nowhere near what the book described....but then I was thrilled because of the modern architecture I so love!
*The View Point Inn*
My version is scaled down, and mainly an inspired version, and made into a house.
*The Black House - Book Version*
This house layout is exactly as I pictured it. The garage would have been a bit grungier, and the house a bit 'worn' inside. I am very curious on what they will choose for the Black's house in the upcoming "New Moon" movie...but that is MONTHS away.
